Tragedy Strikes Pompano Beach: 1 Dead, 1 Injured in Shocking Shooting Incident

A gunshot occurred Thursday afternoon that left one person dead and another hospitalized; authorities are looking into the incident.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place close to the 1100 block of Northeast 10th Street just before 2:00 p.m.

Two guys with gunshot wounds were discovered at the location by responding BSO deputies. One man was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

According to officials, a private vehicle took the second man to the hospital. Detectives from BSO’s Homicide Unit are still looking into the shooting.
