11

A car struck a man who was lying in the road late Friday night, causing his death. No information on the vehicle was provided by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), and the driver who was involved in the crash did not remain at the scene.

The pedestrian, identified as Jose Francisco Gonzalez-Perez of Jupiter Farms, was found lying in the road, but PBSO did not explain why in the report. Deputies discovered Gonzalez-Perez’s body in the westbound lanes near the 14000 block of Indiantown Road, approximately a mile and a half from his residence, when they arrived just before midnight, according to PBSO. They found that when the car hit Gonzalez-Perez, 57, it was traveling west, and it continued in the same direction.
