Shocking Pursuit: Stolen Car Crashes Into Miami-Dade Bus After High-Speed Police Chase, Leaving Several Injured

11

A reported stolen car evading police was the cause of a crash involving a Miami-Dade Transit bus Monday night that resulted in numerous injuries, according to authorities. The incident started at around 9 p.m., according to Miami Police officials, when an undercover unit tried to pull over the suspected stolen vehicle, which promptly ran away. Soon after, the car was spotted by a police aircraft at Gladeview’s Northwest 21st Avenue and 71st Street, where it collided with the bus.

When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived, they took two or three individuals to medical facilities. Four firearms and the car were found at the scene, according to the police. The automobile that the evading officers were driving through the area was fast, according to the neighbors. “I was inside my house and I felt a loud impact, I was like ‘what happened?'” said Angel Oduardo in Spanish. “I didn’t see anything but then I went outside and I saw all the police cars.”
