Arson investigation in Fort Lauderdale after 3 cars go up in flames in parking lot
Three cars caught fire in a shopping center parking lot early Tuesday, sparking an arson inquiry in Fort Lauderdale.
The incident took place in the parking lot of a NAPA Auto Parts business on Broward Boulevard near Northwest 36th Avenue shortly before four in the morning.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, it looks like one car was purposefully set on fire before the flames spread to the other two.
No one was hurt, and none of the surrounding businesses were impacted.
One car that was burned on the side was still parked there later Tuesday, and there were charred bits of other cars on the ground, creating a huge mess from the fire.
The event is being looked into by the police.
