The Bad Bunny has returned! The Puerto Rican superstar has revealed Debí Tirar Más Fotos, his upcoming sixth studio album. January 5 is the date of the record’s release. A brief teaser video posted on Instagram by Bad Bunny features Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales narrating his life’s journey, stating that Puerto Rico stood out among all the locations he had seen and that he wishes he had taken more photos. He says, “I should have loved more and lived more while I could.” “One should love as much as they can while they are still here.” He is shown speaking to Concho, a tiny cartoon animal on the table, who replies that he loves him very much as the camera pans out.

A few minutes prior to the release of the album teaser, Bad Bunny also unveiled the music video for “PIToRRO DE COCO.” Just over six years have passed since Bad Bunny’s renowned debut album, X 100pre, was released on Christmas Eve of 2018. The album was announced less than twenty-four hours later. “So many of his homeland fans hold the album like a scrapbook of their childhoods because of its intimate portrayal of Puerto Rican boyhood,” Rolling Stone said in a recent retrospective for the record. Nothing compares to hearing the world’s most famous artist recount childhood experiences.

The groundbreaking album Un Verano Sin Ti, which came out in time for the summer of 2022, is one of the expansive and ambitious records that Bad Bunny has added to his collection since his explosive debut. Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, his most recent single, was released in October 2023, days after the musician told Rolling Stone that “this year was for resting.”

At the time, he claimed, “I think and create, imagine things, and spend a lot of time thinking about what I’m going to do next.” “I already know my destination.” Nor was 2024 a year of relaxation. Bad Bunny was on the run during the Most Wanted tour from February to June. After a three-show run in Puerto Rico, the tour ended with a gross of over $208 million. Additionally, he was featured on two joint songs, “Qué Pasaría” with Rauw Alejandro and “Adivino” with Myke Towers. The singles “Una Velita” and “El Clúb,” which were released in September and December, respectively, were among his solo musical output.
