However, EBT cards are not currently accepted in Puerto Rico.

The California Department of Social Services advises recipients to look for signs indicating EBT, SNAP, or Food Stamps when shopping. If unsure, individuals are encouraged to ask the store manager for clarification.

Families with unemployed primary breadwinners are also eligible, as are relatives providing care for foster children.
