Disturbing Geese Killings in Cooper City: Shocking ATV Surveillance Footage Emerges

24

On Thursday, detectives made public surveillance footage of an ATV and the individuals they suspect of being responsible for the “cruel, disturbing” deaths of thirty geese in Cooper City. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on Saturday, December 28 at around 7:45 p.m. near Southwest 49th Street and Southwest 120th Avenue, in the lake easement area between the Countryside Shops Plaza and the Flamingo Gardens West subdivision.

Detectives were informed by a witness that an off-road vehicle carrying four or five young adults ran over dozens of Egyptian geese. Earlier this week, neighbor Brian Schafler told NBC6, “They ran savagely over these birds in the evening, going back and forth back and forth.” The people are seen driving through on the CCTV footage.
