Cold Front Alert At Northeast Florida! Jacksonville Area To Experience Severe Freezing Overnight
Freezing weather alert!! A Freeze Warning is still in force as of early Tuesday morning, and residents in northeast Florida should prepare for subfreezing temperatures. More cold weather is predicted through Wednesday.
As low as 29 degrees might occur, endangering pets, vulnerable groups, and outside plants. The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that the warning will be in effect from 4 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, and that a Freeze Watch will be in effect from late Tuesday evening to early Wednesday morning.

It can feel as cold as 20 degrees due to wind chills. Residents are asked to keep outdoor vegetation safe, bring pets inside, and wear warm clothing.
With highs in the low 50s and lows close to freezing through Thursday, the week will feature bright skies but consistently chilly temperatures. On Friday, a minor warming trend starts, and the likelihood of rain increases.
