After West Palm Beach police declared they were implementing โ€œimmediate measuresโ€ to enhance public safety and security at the downtown GreenMarket, WPTV visited the event on Saturday to gather feedback from attendees about the increased police presence. The station sought to hear from visitors on how they felt regarding the added security measures at the market.

Kim Humphreys shared her concerns about the increased traffic around the GreenMarket, noting that with so many cars passing through, she remains cautious when crossing. She mentioned that cars often run red lights, which forces her to wait before proceeding.

Brett Portier, a local vendor and chef who, along with his crew, has been a part of the GreenMarket for 20 years, also expressed a strong sense of safety, though he acknowledged that the unpredictable nature of events makes it essential to remain vigilant. He emphasized the importance of creating a safe environment for the marketโ€™s visitors, stating, โ€œWe love it here! Thereโ€™s a large crowd and many loyal customers who come every week. Itโ€™s crucial they feel safe, and we highly value their safety as a top priority.โ€
