A 32-year-old Bronx man lost his life after being fatally stabbed during a heated confrontation with his girlfriend late Sunday night, according to law enforcement sources. The victim, identified as Michael Bookhart, sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest when a verbal argument escalated into violence. The altercation occurred around 10:40 p.m. inside an apartment building located on East 138th Street near Brown Place in the Mott Haven neighborhood, police reported.
