Driver Arrested for Possessing Stolen Firearm After Crash in Miami, Robbery Investigation Underway
A driver under investigation for a robbery was arrested following a crash into another vehicle Thursday in Miami, according to police.
Miami Police officials said officers had spotted a white Mercedes matching the description of a vehicle involved in a prior robbery near Northwest 23rd Avenue and 50th Street when it collided with another car.
The driver of the Mercedes faces charges of possession of a stolen firearm, which was discovered inside the vehicle, police reported. The driverโs identity has not been released.
The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed in the crash. Three other individuals, aged 19-20, were also in the Mercedes but are not facing charges, authorities stated.
