Enjoy the sunshine while you can, Orlando! After a stretch of picture-perfect weather, things are about to change. A storm system is brewing, bringing weekend rain and possible thunderstorms. If you’ve got outdoor plans, you may want to rethink them—here’s what you need to know

According to the National Weather Service, Orlando is currently experiencing beautiful conditions, with mostly sunny skies and a comfortable 73°F (23°C). The pleasant weather will continue through the end of the week, with highs climbing to 81°F (27°C) by Friday. But don’t get too used to it—a shift is coming.

By Saturday, February 1, increasing cloud cover will bring scattered showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the day. The high will drop slightly to 75°F (24°C), with overnight lows around 60°F (16°C). Sunday, February 2, could bring additional showers before the sun makes a return, with a warm high of 81°F (27°C).

While the storms won’t be severe, they could impact weekend plans. Roads may be slick, and brief heavy rain could cause minor flooding in some areas. Drivers should exercise caution, and those with outdoor activities should keep an umbrella handy.

Looking ahead, next week is expected to return to warm, sunny conditions, making this weekend’s storms just a brief interruption. But for now, enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts—Orlando’s famous sunshine is about to take a short break
