Davie Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run Involving Pedestrian
DAVIE, Fla. — Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred early Friday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

Around 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of State Road 7 (441) and Griffin Road. According to Davie Police officials, an adult male pedestrian was crossing the street when he was struck by a black sedan. The vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision. The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are treating the incident as a hit-and-run and are actively seeking information from the public to identify the driver and vehicle involved. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200.
Following the incident, all directions of travel at the intersection were temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation. The roadway has since been cleared, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
