$1,580 Payments Hitting SSDI Accounts Now – Check Your Bank

If you receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), you could see a $1,580 payment in your bank account within the next 24 hours. The Social Security Administration (SSA) sends out payments on a set schedule, and for many recipients, February’s payment is arriving soon.

But not everyone will get their money at the same time. The exact payment date depends on your birth date and when you first started receiving SSDI. Here’s what you need to know about who qualifies, when you’ll be paid, and how to avoid delays.

Who Qualifies for the $1,580 SSDI Payment?

Not every SSDI recipient will receive exactly $1,580—this is just the average monthly benefit in 2025. Your actual payment amount depends on:

  • Your past work history and how much you paid into Social Security before becoming disabled
  • Whether you receive additional benefits, such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Any cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) applied to your benefits

To qualify for SSDI, you must have a disability that prevents you from working and is expected to last at least a year or be life-threatening. Additionally, you must have worked long enough to earn sufficient Social Security work credits before your disability.

When Will SSDI Payments Arrive?

The SSA pays SSDI benefits on a staggered schedule based on your birth date. If you’re expecting a payment, check the dates below to see when your money should arrive:

  • If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th → You’ll receive your payment on Wednesday, February 12
  • If your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th → Your payment will arrive on Wednesday, February 19
  • If your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st → Your payment will be sent on Wednesday, February 26

However, there are exceptions. If you started receiving SSDI before May 1997, or if you receive both SSDI and SSI, your payment was already sent on February 3rd.
