How to Claim Your Money

  1. Watch for the Settlement Website – Apple is expected to launch an official claim website by February 2025. This is where you’ll submit your claim.
  2. Gather Any Proof You Have – While not always required, having purchase receipts, serial numbers, or Apple account records could help speed up the process.
  3. Submit Your Claim – Once the site goes live, fill out the form confirming you owned a Siri-enabled device and experienced Siri activating without permission. The deadline to submit a claim is May 15, 2025.
  4. Get Paid – If the court approves the settlement on April 10, 2025, payments will start being sent out within 60 days. You’ll likely get your money via direct deposit, PayPal, or check.

The lawsuit claimed that Siri sometimes recorded private conversations by mistake, violating user privacy. Apple denies that it did anything wrong but agreed to pay $95 million to settle the case. The company says it has made changes since 2019 to improve Siri’s privacy settings.
