Miami Couple Arrested for Allegedly Molesting 13-Year-Old Girl They Met at Church

A husband and wife from Miami are facing accusations of molesting and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl they met at church, according to police reports.

Edwin Erasmo Vasquez Vasquez, 50, and Yulian Jaqueline Garcia Castro, 39, fled Miami but were apprehended in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday. They are charged with sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, and lewd and lascivious conduct. The investigation began in November after the girl and her parents approached the police, although the alleged incidents took place between July and December of 2023.

The report states that the girl met the couple at church and that the first incident occurred when she spent the night at their home, where she slept in the couple’s bed along with their two children. Several other incidents reportedly took place in the following months, but the girl did not disclose them to anyone due to fear.

One incident involved Garcia Castro instructing Vasquez Vasquez and the teen to kiss, which resulted in the girl sustaining a bruise on her lips, according to the report.
