Miami Student Caught Red-Handed Selling LSD to Undercover Agents!
A University of Miami student was arrested in an undercover drug sting after allegedly selling LSD to federal agents. The suspect, 22-year-old Carter Key, was taken into custody on August 12 near the university’s Alex Rodriguez Baseball Stadium.
According to authorities, Key arranged to sell 50 LSD tablets for $400 to undercover Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents. After the transaction was completed, he was immediately arrested without incident.
During his bond hearing, Key appeared emotional as his attorney emphasized his impressive academic background. He had graduated magna cum laude from UM’s Frost School of Music and was preparing to start his master’s degree. Despite his clean record, the judge set his bond at $30,000 due to the seriousness of the charges.

This case is not the first drug-related arrest involving University of Miami students. In 2017, freshman Haralambos “Bobby” Spiro Geroulanos was caught with cocaine, marijuana, and prescription pills, all intended for sale. His arrest came after authorities responded to complaints about the smell of marijuana coming from his dorm room, leading to a search that uncovered illegal substances and cash.
Drug-related offenses continue to be a challenge for universities, and officials are working with law enforcement to crack down on distribution on campus. The University of Miami has yet to release a statement on Key’s arrest.
