MPD: Several Teens Arrested at an Apartment Complex on City’s South Side

On Saturday, March 22, Madison police responded to a call regarding suspicious activity at an apartment complex on the city’s south side. Around 4 p.m., a man reported hearing smashing noises coming from inside a computer lab at an apartment building located on the 2200 block of Woodview Court.

Teens Detained by Authorities

Upon arrival, officers observed several teens leaving the area. Police quickly detained four of them, including two 14-year-olds and two 15-year-olds. Authorities stated that the teens were involved in the disturbance, which prompted the initial call to law enforcement.

Charges and Possible Legal Consequences

The four teens were issued restorative justice referrals for trespassing and were subsequently released to their guardians. However, the Madison Police Department (MPD) noted that additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues. The situation remains under review by local authorities.
