Dad Flees 100 MPH Crash, Leaving Family Behind – Police Need Your Help!
A Houston father is currently on the run after abandoning his wife and four children following a high-speed car crash that left them seriously injured. The crash on Yale Street Tuesday evening involved the family’s Ford Expedition, which was traveling at an estimated 100 mph before colliding with another vehicle and flipped into a bayou.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found the wife and three of the children inside the wrecked vehicle. The youngest child, an 8-year-old girl, had been thrown from the car during the crash. All five family members were rushed to nearby hospitals, with three in critical condition and two in serious but stable condition.
Surveillance footage from the scene shows the Ford Expedition speeding moments before the crash. After the accident, the driver, later identified as the father, fled on foot and was picked up by another vehicle. Authorities have launched a manhunt for him but have not yet revealed his identity or why he chose to flee the scene rather than help his injured family.

Highlights of the Incident
This shocking incident highlights the dangers of high-speed driving, but it’s also raising questions about how bond conditions are being handled for individuals with prior criminal histories. The father in this case, had been previously arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and was out on bond at the time of the crash.
Just a few months ago, another similar incident occurred in Houston when a man out on bond for a DWI charge crashed his vehicle, killing his child. This latest case has reignited concerns about whether the current bond system is doing enough to prevent dangerous individuals from committing further crimes while awaiting trial.
As the investigation continues, police are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the father to come forward. The Houston Police Department is working to track him down, and the community’s assistance is crucial in helping to bring him to justice and prevent further tragedies.
