Shocking Details Revealed in Hit-and-Run That Left Jogger Fighitng for Her Life—Find Out How You Can Help!
A year has passed since 26-year-old Onyxia Delinois was struck in a hit-and-run while jogging along Miramar Parkway in Florida, and her husband, Roosevelt Delinois, is still grappling with the aftermath of that tragic day.
On April 6, 2024, Onyxia, an avid runner, was hit by a vehicle that veered off the road, knocking her to the ground before the driver fled the scene. She was found by fellow runners who immediately called 911. Onyxia, who suffered severe head injuries, was rushed to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma. Doctors performed emergency brain surgery to save her life.
Roosevelt, who has been by her side through every step of her recovery, spoke publicly for the first time about the pain and challenges they’ve faced. “It’s been a long road, and we’re taking it one day at a time,” he said. “Onyxia’s strength and will to live have been incredible, and that keeps us going.” He also expressed his hope for justice, urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver to come forward.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The Miramar Police Department is actively searching for the driver responsible. Authorities have said they are looking for a vehicle that may have right front or side damage. Detective Jose Rosales appealed to the public, stating, “We need help identifying the vehicle. If anyone has seen a car with that kind of damage, please contact us.”
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with details is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
Though the road ahead remains long for Onyxia, the support from her family, friends, and community continues to be a beacon of hope as she works toward recovery.
