Fatal Stabbing and the Discovery of Evidence

On Saturday afternoon, Baltimore Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Nunley Drive. When the officers arrived, they found Walker and Mack inside the apartment. Walker was found with fatal stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mack, who had also sustained injuries, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries were later deemed non-life-threatening. After Mack was released from the hospital, detectives arrested him and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with Walker’s death. Authorities revealed additional details from the crime scene, including a broken knife blade with blood on it, found near Mack, who was sitting in a metal folding chair when police arrived. This raised suspicions about Mack’s version of the events.

Mack’s Account and the Investigation’s Findings

Mack initially told police that Walker had attacked him first. He claimed she had picked up a knife and tried to stab him, forcing him to grab her hand in an attempt to stop her. According to his statement, he wrestled her to the bed and floor, and during the struggle, Walker allegedly stabbed him in the abdomen. Mack then said that he grabbed a pair of scissors and fatally stabbed Walker in retaliation. However, investigators uncovered evidence suggesting a different scenario. Authorities determined that Mack was the primary aggressor, attacking Walker while she was on the bed. Furthermore, they concluded that Mack’s wounds were self-inflicted, casting doubt on his claim of self-defense.

Troubled Relationship and Warning Signs

Walker’s roommate spoke with police about her relationship with Mack, explaining that they had met through Instagram in the summer of 2024 and started dating soon after. However, as the relationship progressed, Walker began distancing herself from Mack. By early 2025, she had stopped answering his calls, which reportedly frustrated Mack. He even resorted to calling Walker’s roommates in an attempt to reach her. The day before the stabbing, Mack allegedly waited inside Walker’s car for hours to speak with her. That night, Walker sent a concerning text to a family member that foreshadowed the tragedy: “If I end up dead, his name is Rashard Mack.” Mack is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center while he awaits further legal proceedings.
