FBI Storms Florida Apartment—What They Found Inside Led to Shocking Arrest

A Plantation man is behind bars this week after federal agents raided his apartment and discovered disturbing child pornography materials on his devices.

The suspect, 38-year-old Carl David Cunningham, was arrested on Wednesday following an FBI investigation into online child sexual exploitation. Federal court records show Cunningham is facing charges of distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material, often referred to as CSAM.

According to investigators, Cunningham had been using the messaging app Kik to share graphic videos of child sexual abuse—some involving children who appeared to be under the age of 10. These materials were flagged during an undercover operation led by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children task force.

Agents executed a federal search warrant at his Plantation apartment earlier this week. Inside, they reportedly seized multiple electronic devices containing explicit content. The FBI has not indicated whether more individuals are involved or if other arrests are expected.

Cunningham is now in federal custody and awaiting a detention hearing. If convicted on the current charges, he could face a lengthy prison sentence under federal guidelines, which carry severe penalties for crimes involving the exploitation of minors.

This case is part of a broader national crackdown on child pornography and online exploitation. The FBI continues to urge the public to report any suspicious online behavior, especially involving minors, through its tip line or local field offices.

Authorities are also reminding parents to be vigilant about their children’s internet usage and to report any concerns immediately.

This story is developing. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
