Man Faces First-Degree Murder Charges in Palm Beach County Shooting Deaths
A deadly shooting in Palm Beach County on Saturday afternoon has left two people dead and a suspect in custody. Authorities say a convicted felon is now facing serious charges after what appears to have been a violent altercation in a residential neighborhood.
Emergency Responders Find Two Victims Dead
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) was dispatched to the 3700 block of Nokomis Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The third individual, identified as the suspect, was wounded and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. While the identities of the two deceased victims have not yet been released by authorities, the incident has shocked residents of the quiet Palm Beach County neighborhood, prompting calls for justice and increased community safety.

Suspect Identified as Convicted Felon
The suspect has been identified as Erasmo Perazaledesma. Following his treatment at the hospital, he was cleared for release and immediately taken into custody by law enforcement. He has since been booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. Perazaledesma now faces two counts of first-degree murder, in addition to a weapons possession charge due to his status as a convicted felon. Authorities say he was not legally allowed to possess a firearm at the time of the shooting.
Investigation Into Motive and Background Ongoing
Detectives are actively working to uncover the events that led to the shooting. While details regarding the motive remain unclear, officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that more information will be released as it becomes available. Authorities are examining Perazaledesma’s criminal history and any potential connections between him and the victims. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward to assist in piecing together what occurred and why.
Community Left in Shock
The double homicide has left the surrounding community shaken. Neighbors described hearing multiple gunshots followed by the arrival of emergency vehicles and law enforcement. Many expressed fear and concern over rising violence and the presence of illegal weapons in the area. Officials have not indicated whether additional arrests are expected or if others may have been involved. For now, Perazaledesma remains the sole suspect as the legal process begins. He is expected to face a judge for his first appearance in the coming days.
