Alaska Just Approved $3,200 Payments — Find Out If You’re on the List!
Thousands of Alaskans are set to receive a welcome financial boost in 2025, as the state has officially approved a $3,200 stimulus payment through the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) program — one of the most generous benefit payments in the United States.

What Is the $3,200 Payment?
The payment is part of Alaska’s annual PFD program, which distributes a portion of the state’s oil revenue earnings to eligible residents. While not technically labelled a “stimulus check” by federal standards, many view the PFD as a lifesaving form of direct cash relief, especially as inflation continues to pressure household budgets.
For 2025, the Alaska Department of Revenue has confirmed the payout will total $3,200 per eligible person, making it one of the highest PFD disbursements in recent history. The increase is attributed to strong oil revenue and investment returns during the previous fiscal year.
Who Qualifies for the $3,200 Payment?
To qualify, residents must meet the following criteria:
-
Be a full-year resident of Alaska in 2024
-
Have the intent to remain in Alaska indefinitely
-
Not have been incarcerated for a felony conviction during the qualifying year
-
Not have claimed residency in another state or country
-
Have applied during the open PFD application period (January 1 to March 31, 2025)
Applicants who submitted their documentation on time and met all eligibility criteria will be placed in the payment processing schedule.
When Will Payments Arrive?
According to state officials:
-
The first wave of direct deposits is expected to go out by early October 2025
-
Paper checks will be mailed later in the month
-
Applicants who applied online and selected direct deposit will typically receive funds faster
The Alaska Department of Revenue has emphasised that processing times may vary, and residents should check their status through the Mypfd online portal.
