Teen Brags It Was ‘Hella Fun’ After Stabbing Man 22 Times, Say Police

Authorities in Washington are investigating a deeply disturbing case involving a 14-year-old boy accused of stabbing a man 22 times, then later bragging about the attack in a handwritten journal, calling it “hella fun.”

The juvenile suspect, whose name has not been publicly released due to his age, was arrested earlier this week after investigators tied him to the brutal stabbing of a 48-year-old man, who survived but remains hospitalised in serious condition.

According to Spokane police, the attack occurred on April 29 near a wooded area behind a local apartment complex. The victim, who reportedly knew the teen casually, was lured to the spot under pretences before being ambushed and stabbed repeatedly in the chest and abdomen.

What shocked officers even more than the attack itself was what they discovered during a search of the teen’s bedroom: a personal journal in which he described the stabbing in graphic detail.

“He wrote that it was ‘hella fun,’ and he wanted to do it again,” said Police Chief Andy Meeks. “The entry was chilling. He showed absolutely no remorse.”

The boy was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at a juvenile detention center. He faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and premeditated assault, and prosecutors are already considering trying him as an adult due to the severity and calculated nature of the crime.

Officials say the boy had no prior record but had recently been suspended from school for violent outbursts. Mental health professionals have been brought in to evaluate him as part of the court process.

The victim is expected to survive but faces a long recovery, according to hospital staff.
