After an intense day-and-a-half of searching, authorities have recovered the body of 27-year-old Ramon Diaz‑Soria, who disappeared while swimming near Vanns Tavern Park on Lake Lanier Saturday evening.

Diaz‑Soria had jumped off a boat wearing a life jacket, though fellow passengers later reported it was not properly secured. Immediately after he entered the water, he submerged and failed to resurfacing—prompting a high-stakes search.
