Bodybuilding Influencer “Liver King” Is Charged After Allegedly Threatening Joe Rogan : Know More Here
“Liver King,” a social media influencer with millions of followers, was arrested Tuesday night at Austin’s Four Seasons Hotel for threatening a podcast host Joe Rogan on social media.
Around 6 p.m., Johnson posted a video challenging Rogan to a fight, which prompted the Austin Police Department to take him into arrest.

Johnson had said, “Man to man, I’m picking a fight with you,” in a video that was uploaded to Instagram on Monday.
Johnson challenged Rogan, a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt, despite his lack of martial arts expertise, promising to fight “whenever you’re ready.”
“Detectives reviewed the posts and observed that Johnson was traveling to Austin while continuing to make threatening statements. Detectives contacted Mr. Rogan, who stated he had never had any interaction with Johnson and considered the posts to be threatening. Based on this information, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson on a charge of Terroristic Threat,” Austin police said in a statement.
Johnson’s arrest moments are captured in a video that was uploaded on his Instagram account. He is shown talking about his upcoming jail sentence and a fight with Rogan while pacing the room. He gets handcuffed and is shown being patted down by an officer. After that, Johnson is led to a police vehicle.
Johnson, who became well-known for his toned body and contentious raw meat diet, was accused of uttering terrorist threats, which is a Class B offense. While the inquiry is ongoing, he is still being held at Travis County Jail. The Austin Police Department declined to elaborate, stating that the investigation is still ongoing.
The influencer, who received significant criticism in December 2022 after acknowledging he had misled his fans about his usage of steroids, has taken yet another drastic turn with the arrest.
Johnson, 47, established his brand on what he called a “ancestral lifestyle,” saying that consuming raw meat and adhering to nine unique principles were the sources of his amazing muscles.
Johnson’s actions have long been questioned by medical professionals. In 2023, Dr. Harrison Pope, a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, issued a warning regarding the risks associated with extreme body image problems and steroid use.
“As a result, [a person] spends a lot of time lifting weights, is paying careful attention to his diet, checking out what he looks like in the mirror [and] avoiding public situations where he might be seen with his shirt off,” Pope told “Impact x Nightline”
Doctors have also criticized Johnson for encouraging people to eat raw meat, pointing out the significant risk of bacterial infection.
Since December 2022, Johnson’s video confession regarding his use of steroids has been viewed over 4 million times, resulting in legal issues and mounting condemnation from his previous admirers.
