Orlando, Fla. (ZIP code- 32814) — June 30, 2025 — A Florida man was sentenced to life in prison Monday for murdering his wife’s acupuncturist after discovering the two were having an affair. Prosecutors said the defendant, 42-year-old Marcus Delaney, carried out a premeditated shooting fueled by jealousy and rage.

The killing occurred inside Harmony Acupuncture Clinic on New Broad Street in Baldwin Park, where the victim, 38-year-old Dr. Allen Cho, practiced. Delaney allegedly confronted Cho, accused him of ruining his marriage, and shot him three times in the chest.

According to courtroom testimony, Delaney reportedly told Cho, “I’m not a homewrecker. You are,” before pulling the trigger. The entire confrontation was captured on clinic security footage, which was shown to jurors during the trial.

Delaney was found guilty of first-degree murder earlier this month and was formally sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole during Monday’s hearing.

“This was an act of vengeance, not self-defense,” said lead prosecutor Maria Estevez. “The defendant had ample time to walk away but instead chose violence.”

The courtroom was packed during sentencing, with members of both families present. Cho’s sister gave an emotional victim impact statement, saying, “Allen devoted his life to healing others. He didn’t deserve this.”

The case has stirred widespread attention across Orlando, particularly among professionals working in wellness and alternative health communities.

“We promote peace and healing here — this tragedy has left us shaken,” said Lana Meyers, who runs a yoga studio next door to the clinic.

This is the second domestic-violence-related murder conviction in Orlando this month, prompting calls for renewed public awareness about emotional instability and warning signs in personal relationships.
