Oklahoma Mother Arrested After 2-Month-Old Son Dies from Severe Injuries
An Oklahoma mother has been arrested in connection with the tragic death of her 2-month-old son after allegedly getting intoxicated and passing out, leaving the infant and his 4-year-old brother unattended for over an hour.
Kristeny N. Davis, 32, was taken into custody last week and charged with second-degree murder following the infant’s death, according to court records.

Disturbing Discovery at the Hospital
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, officers from the Norman Police Department responded to a call for a welfare check at OU Children’s Hospital around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 7. The infant, suffering from severe head injuries, had been airlifted to the hospital from Norman Regional Hospital Healthplex due to the gravity of his condition.
Despite medical efforts, the baby succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead 12 hours after his initial arrival at Norman Regional. Doctors determined he had suffered multiple skull fractures.
Mother’s Account Raises Questions
During an interview with police, Davis claimed that she had been home with both of her children earlier that day after picking up her 4-year-old from daycare. She stated that she had left them alone for three to four minutes, and upon returning, she found the infant “injured and lying in a small ball pit.”
Davis also recalled an incident from the previous day, where she allegedly saw her 4-year-old son throw the infant into the same ball pit, though the baby appeared unhurt at the time. She further noted that her older child would frequently jump into the ball pit from nearby furniture.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the baby’s fatal injuries.
