Benny Blanco left fiancée Selena Gomez stunned after sharing his unusual shower rituals during a behind-the-scenes Q&A for Interview Magazine’s March cover shoot. The music producer, 36, admitted that he doesn’t shower daily but when he does, it becomes an emotional experience.
“OK, I might not get to shower every day, but when I do, when I feel like I deserve it, I’m in there for so long contemplating life,” Blanco confessed. He then revealed an even quirkier habit, saying, “I sit down in every shower I go into.”
As Gomez, 32, laughed at his admission, Blanco took things a step further by confessing that he finds it “incredible” to cry in the shower. “Do you cry in the shower?” he asked the Only Murders in the Building star, who appeared both amused and surprised. “Sometimes you just have to have a good cry.”
However, it was Blanco’s next statement that truly left Gomez speechless. The producer admitted he often has “death realizations” while showering. Taken aback, Gomez responded with a shocked “Woah!” as she covered her face with question cards.
Blanco elaborated, saying, “No, like, I realize I’m gonna die, but it’s in the shower.” He went on to explain that after shedding a few tears, the warm water helps him feel better. “And then I cry about it a little bit, and then it goes away, and then I feel great because … the warm water.”
While his confessions may have startled Gomez, fans found the moment relatable and endearing, with many taking to social media to share their own shower thoughts and emotions.
