The Nebraska Huskers (20-10, 11-8) started their Big Ten Tournament journey with an emphatic 84-60 victory over Rutgers (11-19, 3-15) on Wednesday night, securing their second consecutive win and advancing to the next round.

Although Rutgers briefly took the lead near the end of the first quarter, Nebraska quickly regained control and never looked back. The Huskers’ dominance was evident throughout the game, with their largest lead reaching 28 points and their smallest margin at just 10 points after the second quarter.

Impressive Offensive and Defensive Performance

The Huskers showcased their offensive strength, shooting an efficient 33-of-60 overall (55%) and knocking down 13-of-31 three-pointers (42%). Their defensive effort was just as impressive, limiting Rutgers to 21-of-59 shooting (36%) and just 5-of-17 from beyond the arc (29%).
