Man Meets With Parole Officer After Killing Woman, Stuffing Her in Hotel Room Closet: Cops

A Florida man out on probation has been arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including murder, after authorities discovered the body of a woman hidden inside a hotel room closet in the Florida Keys. Dylan Lamb, 33, is accused of killing 43-year-old Nadyne Marie Tillman at the Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office launched a missing person investigation on Monday after Tillman’s family grew concerned when they hadn’t heard from her. Her daughter tracked her phone to the resort, prompting deputies to check the room. Inside, they found Tillman’s body stuffed in a water heater closet, showing signs of severe physical trauma.

A Fatal Encounter at the Resort

According to an arrest affidavit, Lamb arranged to meet Tillman through a website, where he allegedly solicited her for sex. A friend of Tillman’s told investigators that she had been texting her shortly before entering the hotel on Saturday morning. In her final message, Tillman told her friend, “I’m in,” referring to the hotel room — and was never heard from again. Lamb admitted to police that he paid Tillman $200 for sex but claimed that she tried to leave without providing the service. He said he blocked the door and, after an altercation, hit her once, causing her to fall and hit her head. Lamb alleged she lost consciousness and stopped breathing. Instead of calling 911, Lamb said he panicked, tried to clean up the scene, and ultimately hid her body in the closet.

Evidence Points to Brutal Assault and Cover-Up

Detectives found injuries inconsistent with Lamb’s version of events. Tillman had two black eyes, busted lips, and multiple facial injuries, suggesting a violent beating. Police believe Lamb attempted to cover up the crime by discarding the victim’s phone and blood-soaked towels and bed linens in trash bags, which hotel staff later found and threw away. Unfortunately, the dumpster was emptied before police could recover the evidence. In a disturbing twist, reports indicate that an unsuspecting hotel guest may have spent the night in the same room with Tillman’s body before it was discovered the following morning. A resort employee told police that Lamb booked the room via Expedia using his mother’s phone number. Although staff attempted to move him to another room on Saturday, he refused and was allowed to stay through Sunday. After he left, the housekeeper found three large, stained trash bags in the room.

Arrest and Additional Charges

Lamb, who was already on probation for grand theft of a motor vehicle, failed to mention the incident during a meeting with his parole officer on Monday. Detectives located him on Tuesday at his job as a kayak instructor and arrested him without incident. In addition to second-degree murder, Lamb faces charges of kidnapping, tampering with evidence, and soliciting prostitution. He remains in the Monroe County Jail without bond as the investigation continues.
