PALM BEACH – Infowars, a website often characterized as a right-wing conspiracy website run by controversial radio show host Alex Jones, has allegedly had its servers hacked and implanted with child pornography; this shocking material was then used to generate emails that were sent out in Jones’ name, according to the FBI.

The FBI began investigating the alleged hacking after several families of Sandy Hook school shooting victims reported receiving emails from Jones that not only contained documents relating to a defamation case against the radio host, but also illicit images and links to child porn websites.

Jones has denied sending the emails, and has alleged that they are part of a conspiracy against him, possibly by lawyers representing the Sandy Hook families. On his radio show, Jones has offered a $1,000,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

Several media outlets including BuzzFeed.com are reporting that Jones sent the emails, however, according to his attorney Norman Pattis, the FBI is treating Jones as the victim as the emails were sent by a third party.

The Sandy Hook families are currently involved in a defamation case against Jones, who had previously maintained that the infamous 2012 school shooting that left 26 people dead was a “false flag operation” engineered by gun control advocates.

The lawsuit maintains that Jones’ role in spreading conspiracy theories about the shooting has caused the victims’ families to be harassed and threatened. Jones has since recanted his stance that the school shooting was faked in a sworn deposition in the defamation suit.
