Detectives Investigating Deadly Shooting in Unincorporated Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – Deputies responded to what appeared to be a male lying in a cow pasture near Hypoluxo Road and Military Trail, in unincorporated Boynton Beach. Upon arrival deputies located an adult male deceased from at least one gunshot wound.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene to investigate further. This death is being investigated as a suspicious death. No motive or suspect information is known at this time.

The incident, which took place last night at approximately 9:40 pm, is being investigated and is developing.

UPDATE: On Friday October 11, detectives said the victim has been identified as Cornette Bucknor, age 38. The results of an autopsy performed this morning indicated the death was a result of suicide.
