Broward Detectives Looking to ID Man After Suspected Assault, Kidnapping in Fort Lauderdale; Suspects Restrained Victim, Fled In Vehicle

The victim is believed to have been kidnapped and beaten Tuesday afternoon. Investigators have identified the possible culprits in the case, but the whereabouts of the victim remain unknown.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit detectives need the public’s help in locating a man believed to have been kidnapped and beaten Tuesday afternoon. Investigators have identified the possible culprits in the case, but the whereabouts of the victim remain unknown.

According to police, the incident began around noon Tuesday, Dec. 17, when the suspects were seen assaulting the victim at the Shell gas station at 2701 W. Sunrise Blvd. near Ft. Lauderdale. The suspects restrained the victim and fled with him in a vehicle. One of the kidnappers was located with the vehicle shortly after the abduction. The other suspect was also located, but the victim has not been found. Detectives fear the man could be hurt or in need of medical assistance.
