FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives need help in identifying a man and a woman who abandoned a stolen rental car at a Fort Lauderdale gas station on Nov. 19.
According to police, at approximately 5:04 p.m. that Tuesday, surveillance video shows the pair driving up to a gas pump at the Marathon gas station at 701 W. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale in a gray 2019 Nissan Maxima. The man exits the stolen vehicle and enters the gas station, where he picks up an item and proceeds to the cash register. Shortly after, a female joins the man in the gas station and both are seen walking around the store together before exiting through a side door.
Investigators released an image from a Fort Lauderdale Police Department officer’s body camera that captured a shot of the man and woman that night at the gas station. Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are hoping this image, along with the surveillance released from the Marathon gas station, will help solve this case.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact BSO Detective Armando Enrique at 954-321-4233.
