Detectives Seeking to Identify Suspect Claiming to Work for County Water Department; Seen Driving 2014-2017 White Ford Explorer Type SUV

The man was seen leaving in a 2014-2017 white Ford Explorer type of SUV.  He was described as a white male wearing a navy blue traffic style vest with an unknown badge on the left chest. If anyone can identify him they are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – On January 23, 2020,  at 6:45 pm, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Detectives say an ‘impostor’ knocked on the door of a residence in the 1400 block of Fairway Circle in Fairway Isles and advised the homeowner he was there for an appointment to check his water.

According to the report, the homeowner questioned the impostor, advised he did not have an appointment and requested to see his ID. The impostor showed the victim what he believed to be a fake with a fake name. The impostor then advised he was at the wrong house and went to the neighbors residence who also stated he did not have an appointment.

The impostor was seen leaving the area in a 2014-2017 white Ford Explorer type of SUV.  He was described as a white male wearing a navy blue traffic style vest with an unknown name badge on the left chest. If anyone can identify this impostor they are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
