Cops Say Woman Struck and Killed by AMTRAK Train In Palm Beach Gardens Yesterday Committed Suicide

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, detectives were in route yesterday in reference to what was said to be a deceased female struck by a train. Today that female was identified as Kristin Robertson, 38 years old. The cause of death has been classified as a suicide. File photo.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – Yesterday at approximately 1:58 pm, the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue dispatched rescue units to the intersection of Bee Line Hwy and Indiantown Rd in reference to a train incident. Initial reports stated that a train was going northbound and had made contact with a pedestrian.

The train, which reported no injuries to personnel or fuel leakage, had stopped at the point of incident. According to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, detectives from the Violent Crimes Division were in route in reference to what was said to be a deceased female struck by a train. 

Very little information was made available including what the woman may have been doing on the tracks, until today when it was reported that the deceased female was identified as Kristin Robertson, 38 years old. The cause of death has been classified as a suicide. More information will be released when it becomes available.
