In relation to a 19-year-old who was found shot dead in a Pasadena park on Thursday morning, two teens were charged with capital murder including tampering with evidence, according to court documents.
In accordance with a probable cause finding for Martinez, 18, submitted on Sunday in Harris County District Court, he is suspected of shooting Nathaniel Navarro several times on Thursday while attempting to rob him.
Serenity Delgado, 17, was additionally accused of tampering with evidence and capital murder in the case.
As reported from the police, Navarro was shot outside his car and tried to flee, but his vehicle crashed into a tree. After dragging his body through the park to the wooded area, the suspects parked his car there.
Dead Body From a Murder Discovered in Pasadena Park
Mr. Martinez stands accused of the homicide of Mr. Nathaniel Navarro during the commission of a robbery, as per the court documents.
It is alleged in these legal documents that Mr. Martinez concealed Mr. Navarro’s lifeless body following the fatal shooting.
The lifeless remains of Mr. Navarro was ultimately located in the vicinity of Pasadena, specifically within the 1000 block of Satsuma Street.
The discovery transpired early on a Thursday morning when Mr. Navarro’s mother, utilizing his cellular phone signal, was able to trace the location to Satsuma Park, leading the authorities to his deceased body.
In accordance with the court documents, Mr. Martinez purportedly admitted to the law enforcement authorities that he not only schemed but also executed the robbery and murder. Subsequently, Mr. Martinez and an accomplice, as indicated in the court records, took measures to dispose of the deceased individual’s body within the park, concealing it from both the police and potential witnesses.
Documents reveal that the suspects sold Navarro’s gun, threw his sweatshirt in a dumpster, and threw his phone into a bayou.
