Following an investigation of a woman’s dismembered torso in Encino earlier on Wednesday, a 35-year-old Tarzana man was immediately placed under arrest.
At the Topanga Mall, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Samuel Haskell.. According to police, Haskell shared a Tarzana residence with his wife, mother-in-law, and father-in-law, all of whom have been reported missing.
While evidence was gathered from inside a house where neighbors claimed a man, a woman, as well as their three kids had resided, LAPD officers blocked off a portion of Tarzana’s Clearstream Terrace.
According to several law enforcement sources who spoke with NBC4’s I-Team, the woman whose body parts were discovered in Encino was likely murdered inside the Tarzana residence.

They responded by sending investigators including technicians from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office to the residence. Investigators discovered “blood evidence and other items” at the residence, according to Gutierrez.
