Donald Trump wants everyone to know that he “ACED” a cognitive test and that he is fully aware of who the president of the United States is at the moment.
In a 150-word share on his Truth Social platform on Monday, the 77-year-old Trump defended his mental sharpness, days after disclosing the contents of a letter he received from a New Jersey osteopath praising his “exceptional” outcomes on a cognitive exam.
On the 81st birthday of President Joe Biden, the release came after numerous reports about Trump’s gaffes in recent public speeches.
That’s a departure from the constant focus on Biden’s own run of errors, falsehoods, out-of-date anecdotes, and sporadic struggles with knowing exactly what to do after making remarks on stage.
In a post on Truth Social on Monday morning, the outgoing president said that he has been calling out former President Barack Obama as the current president “sarcastically,” implying that Obama is secretly making decisions rather than President Joe Biden.
Trump Heavily Leaned In Conspiracy Theory About Obama
In recent weeks, Trump has seemed to genuinely be confused by both Biden and Obama, even though he has previously heavily leaned into this particular conspiracy theory about Obama. (In his role as president, Biden has also made a number of grammatical errors.)
In a recent post, Trump didn’t provide explanations for his past verbal slips, including instances where he confused leaders like Viktor Orban and George W. Bush with others.
DeSantis’s campaign has capitalized on these moments, maintaining a social media thread highlighting Trump’s verbal stumbles.
Last week, Trump’s campaign released a general statement from a doctor affirming his excellent overall health and exceptional cognitive exam results, without offering specific details.
