All indications suggest that Cleveland intends to continue with the Watson experience in 2024, contingent upon his physical readiness to perform. 

General Manager Andrew Berry and Coach Kevin Stefanski expressed optimism regarding Watson’s prospects during their discussions at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis last week, leaving little room for doubt.

Should Flacco opt to rejoin the Browns, it would be in the capacity of a highly valued veteran backup. 

In such a scenario, there would be no competition for the starting position during training camp, and Flacco would only see playing time if Watson encountered another injury or performed below expectations, necessitating his replacement with the quarterback who previously excelled under Stefanski’s guidance.

These pivotal considerations will weigh heavily on Flacco as he evaluates his options in the market and decides on his destination for the 2024 season. Nonetheless, it presents an advantageous position for Flacco, considering that just a year ago, he garnered no interest from NFL teams.
