Manhunt Underway: Rashee Rice Sought by Police Following Dallas Car Crash

Rashee Rice, the Kansas City Chiefs’ standout wide receiver, is wanted by Texas police after a car connected to him was involved in a massive car accident in Dallas.

The collision occurred in the northeast of the city at 18:20 local time on Saturday, March 30. According to a police complaint, they are looking for the teenage NFL star.

As of Sunday afternoon, Dallas police were still looking for Rice in connection with the crash. 

Based on the report, a car thought to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in an accident on Saturday around 6:20 p.m. local time, which corresponds to the time stamp on the leaked dash cam video.

In accordance with the Dallas Morning News’ police call sheet, Rice is the suspected driver of the Corvette involved in the incident, but it is unclear whether he will face charges.

As reported by Dallas Police Department spokeswoman Kristin Lowman, the preliminary investigation revealed that the drivers of a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane when both lost control of their vehicles. 

The Lamborghini skidded onto the shoulder and “hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,” Lowman added.

According to the report and the video, the people driving in the Lambo and the Corvette fled the site of the incident.

Two drivers were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the incident, while two others were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Rice, who stands 6 ‘1’ tall, emerged as the Chiefs’ second-best receiver last season, with 79 grabs and 938 receiving yards, indicating a lot of favor from Patrick Mahomes, the team’s outstanding quarterback.

He also led the team in touchdowns, going into the end zone on seven occasions, and in the postseason, he recorded 26 receptions for 262 yards and a touchdown, proving to be a highly vital and clutch asset for the organization.

The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII 25-22 in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers, with Mahomes throwing to Mercole Hardman on the season-ending play. 

Mahomes couldn’t believe his good fortune, as the 49ers badly misinterpreted the overtime regulations, giving the Chiefs a clear advantage.
