Just as everyone talks about Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes, now with Caleb Williams possibly heading to the NFL, people are comparing him to the Chiefs’ star too. While it’s common to debate Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes, an NFL Draft expert feels it’s too early to draw the same parallels between Caleb Williams and Patrick Mahomes.

Matt Miller, the NFL Draft analyst at ESPN, recently spoke with talkSPORT and explained why comparing Patrick Mahomes and Caleb Williams doesn’t quite fit yet. According to Matt, “Chicago has set up a solid foundation around [Caleb Williams], which is crucial.”

Looking ahead, Matt Miller mentioned he sees Caleb Williams having a 90% chance of becoming a Pro Bowl quarterback and potentially leading Chicago towards Super Bowl contention. However, he’s not quite on the same level as Mahomes just yet. “But I wouldn’t jump to say, ‘Here’s the next Patrick Mahomes waiting for the Bears to pick him,’ as there are many uncertainties.” Patrick Mahomes’ success in the NFL stems from his pursuit of perfection, which is a key ingredient for any top athlete.

Even though Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy just last season, he has struggled with fumbling issues. Additionally, he’s known for his emotional displays on the field, like painting messages on his nails, unlike Mahomes who tends to avoid such actions.
