Prosecutors said on Wednesday that Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual, 34, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, a cosmetics artist, several times in her Sunland home. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office revealed that the actor reportedly ran from the scene and was captured at a Texas border checkpoint between the United States and Mexico.

Prosecutors stated that the woman, identified on a GoFundMe website as Hollywood cosmetics artist Allie Shehorn, had just received a restraining order against Pasqual.

Pasqual allegedly forced entry into Shehorn’s home last Thursday at 4:30 a.m. and repeatedly stabbed her. According to ABC News, she was admitted to the hospital after suffering serious injuries.

Soon after the incident, an arrest warrant was issued.

According to the DA’s office, Pasqual is accused of attempted murder, first-degree domestic burglary when a person is present, and injuring a spouse or family member.

In addition, he is suspected of seriously hurting the victim in a domestic violence situation, and it is said he used a knife on his own during the attack.

A life term in state prison could be imposed upon conviction for these offences.

Pasqual has credits on the TV series “How I Met Your Mother” and the 2023 film “Rebel Moon,” according to his IMDB page.

“My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident,” District Attorney George Gascon said in a statement.

“This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence,” Gascon also said. “We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
