After receiving a stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer diagnosis, racing car driver Lizzy Musi, who was featured on the Discovery Channel’s “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings,” passed away a little over a year ago. Her age was 33. Her father, fellow street racer Pat Musi, sent a social media notice on June 27th that Musi had gone away at home in North Carolina, surrounded by her family.
Lizzy Musi Cause of Death:
Tragically, 33-year-old Lizzy Musi, the gifted and courageous driver from the hit Discovery Channel series “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings,” has gone away.
She disclosed in April of last year that she was diagnosed with cancer in stage 4 at the time of her death.
The news of Lizzy Musi’s passing was verified by her father, who also thanked her followers for their unwavering support during the difficult time and requested solitude to grieve.
After a protracted fight with breast cancer, famous actress Lizzy Musi unexpectedly passed away at the age of 33, leaving the worlds of drag racing and reality T.V. in shock.
Pat, her father, shared the news on social media and begged followers to respect their right to privacy as they grieved.
At 11:25 p.m. tonight, Lizzy was called to heaven while in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family, the post stated. “I appreciate all of your well wishes and encouragement during her fight.
He went on to say that the family would need some quiet time to grieve, reflect, and make plans at this time. They’ll provide an update as soon as we receive more details.
Lizzy Musi Battled Cancer:
Lizzy had amassed a sizable fan base in the male-dominated world of drag racing due to her achievements and contagious charisma.
Alongside her father Pat, who is supposedly an eight-time PDRA Pro Street World Champion, she featured in “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.”
Her passion for racing, however, was severely curtailed when, in April 2023, she announced on Instagram that she had received a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis.
“Hi, everyone. A sudden shift in my life has left me little time to post. “I have a difficult journey ahead of me. A few days ago, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer, which has spread to my lymph nodes and liver,” she wrote. I’m grateful for all of the calls and texts.
A few months later, after seclusion, the reality T.V. star was compelled to cut off her hair and flaunt “the new me” in a Social Media photo.
In the caption of a selfie she posted of herself wearing a T-shirt, she wrote, “Never thought in a million years I would post a picture like this.” Throughout my trip, I want to share every unfiltered moment with you.
She went on, “I had to shave my head two nights ago due to extreme hair loss,” and said that Kye Kelly, her ex-fiance, assisted her in getting rid of the hair. She said, “It’s hard to look in the mirror some days.”
Health Concern for Lizzy Musi:
Lizzy shared that her health problem didn’t lessen her desire for perfection, demonstrating her never-say-die attitude towards her work. In an interview with Drag Illustrated, she provided an update on how she had continued to race despite battling cancer.
“I’ve never been happier in my whole life, I promise. Driving is my work, and I feel I can do it well; it simply comes easy. Being able to race and be myself again was amazing,” she remarked. “Many people have concerns about me because of all I’ve gone through and how I’ve been handling this cancer diagnosis. I can’t even begin to explain. I feel fortunate and grateful to continue doing what I do.”
Additionally, Lizzy stated that her health issue had no bearing on her performance, saying, “I still have the fire in me.”
“My enormous network of support keeps me going. My family has been accommodating. I’m quite grateful for that since it’s amazing.”
“It feels like the biggest accomplishment ever,” she said, “I’ll sit in treatment rooms getting this chemo done, and here I am a few days later in a race car, and now we won this race.” We had many problems, but suffering through all these things makes a victory much more valuable. My dad and I became emotional at the end, but we both understood that we had to go through a lot to get to this point. I admire him.” The reality T.V. personality said, “But there are days when I feel stronger than ever.”

On her Instagram profile, someone commented, “R.I.P.” You gave it a decent go, Lizzy. I’m praying to your friends, family, and the racing community.”
Someone else said, “I’m unfortunate to hear this. We sincerely thought she would overcome the odds, my husband and I. What a lovely, gifted woman. I am sending hugs to Ky and her family. Lizzy, you made us ladies proud. I want for you to kick ass in paradise. as we are aware of your whereabouts there.”
