TWO RIVERS: As per the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, human skeletal remains were found on private land in the Town of Two Rivers, Manitowoc County, on Saturday. According to the sheriff’s office, the remains were discovered by a deer hunter (someone local) who promptly notified law authorities. The investigation is underway, according to Sheriff Dan Hartwig, and at this point, the authorities are unable to provide particular details regarding the age, race, or sex of the remains. Sheriff Hartwig stated that Elijah Vue, a three-year-old who vanished from Two Rivers on February 20, is still a case in progress. He did stress that they are unable to establish a link between the found remains and Vue’s disappearance, though.

Elijah Vue

Elijah Vue Had Vanished a Few Months Ago

As Hartwig put it, “figuring out who it is will take some time.” “We commend the public’s understanding and patience as we keep up the investigation.” Further details will be given as they become available, according to the sheriff’s office, which noted that no more information will be shared at this time. Elijah Vue vanished some months prior to this development. Child negligence charges are pending against Katrina Baur, Vue’s mother, and Jesse Vang, her boyfriend, who are currently detained. Vue was last seen by Vang before he vanished, according to reports. Vue’s disappearance has prompted a $40,000 reward regarding information leading to her whereabouts as well as intense searches.

Jodi Baur, Elijah’s grandma, responded to reports on Facebook on Monday morning with a post. She wrote, “It is likely, yet not confirmed till DNA has come back.” “They haven’t revealed precisely ‘what’ was discovered.” She denounced the “rumors, blame, and hate” that are circulating on social media and termed the information being shared on Facebook “completely out of line.” Many in the vicinity of Camp Manitou, which is in the northwest of Two Rivers, are curious whether the bones discovered are Elijah’s, even though the authorities have not established any connection to the Elijah Vue case.

A Closure For The Family & The Community

On Monday, the camp’s gates were obstructed by a police vehicle. The owner of a home down the street near Camp Manitou, Mary Edwards, claimed to have encountered police on multiple occasions when they conducted neighborhood checks. Although she claims Elijah Vue’s mother is acquainted with the region, she didn’t see much happening on Saturday night, when police claimed the remains were located. According to Edwards, Katrina Baur, Vue’s mother, appeared to be obsessed with this location for an unknown reason, and it appeared that she cherished it there. Tristan Greely, a resident of Two Rivers, stated that ever since she found out about Elijah’s absence, she had been committed to finding him. In order to provide some closure for the family and the community, she expressed her hope that the remains are Elijah’s.
