Woman Hits A 14-Year-Old, Triggering A Large-Scale Fight At The IHOP In North Miami
FLORIDA: Police reported that a lady had attacked a 14-year-old client at an IHOP in North Miami Beach, which led to a serious altercation. Several cellphone recordings capture the mayhem in June as patrons struck, pulled hair, and hurled syrup bottles at one another. The 14-year-old girl reported to the police that Precious Williams physically approached her and her family while they were seated at the restaurant because she was “talking nasty.”
The Victim’s Children Had Been Subjected To Racial Insults
A mother can be heard yelling, “My son said that one of them said something.” Williams seemed to seize the child and start a fight. When other people began to attack one another, the fight at the table became much more heated. Williams was taken into custody and accused of abusing children without cause.
The 34-year-old defendant, however, refuted every accusation and told police that he went to the table because the claimed victim’s children had been subjected to racial insults. Williams claims that after the youngster shoved her initially, she retaliated by yanking the victim’s hair, which set off the altercation. Prosecutors presented Williams with a plea deal in court on Wednesday that included a suspended prison sentence for a term of one-year and the opportunity to take anger management programs.
William Insisted On A Trial
Williams, though, turned down the offer and insisted on a trial. Judge William Altfield forewarned William that she might spend up to 5 years in prison should the jury find her guilty. Attorney Matthew Goldkind for the defendant claimed, “The video reveals someone touching a client of mine, Mrs. Williams, & then Mrs. Williams fought back.” No date has been set for the hearing yet.
