NFL News: Colts QB Anthony Richardson gives relieving update on hip injury after being ruled out

With a revitalized Joe Flacco leading the charge, the Indianapolis Colts secured a 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4, ending the visitors’ unbeaten streak. However, the win was bittersweet as quarterback Anthony Richardson was sidelined due to a hip injury. In a post-game interview, Richardson provided a reassuring update on his condition, stating, “I’m feeling a little sore, but I’m feeling good. We got the W today. Great execution by everybody on the field. I think I’ll be fine, just a little soreness.”

Richardson sustained the injury during a 16-yard run in the first quarter, where he was tackled by Steelers safety DeShon Elliott, who forced a fumble. Although Colts center Tanor Bortolini recovered the ball, Richardson remained on the ground, visibly frustrated. Reflecting on the incident, Richardson commented, “People are gonna talk about injuries and call you injury-prone. Nobody wants to get hurt… so of course I was thinking, ‘Man, not again.'”

The 22-year-old stayed in the locker room after the initial hit but returned to the game shortly after. Unfortunately, he suffered another injury on a 1-yard run and was officially ruled out. Despite his limited time on the field, Richardson completed three passes for 71 yards, helping the Colts build a 17-0 lead.
