Bank of America customers report outage

On Wednesday, Bank of America customers reported experiencing difficulties accessing their bank accounts for a minimum of several hours. On the website Downdetector, reports of issues peaked at approximately 1 p.m. ET with 20,266 outages. While some users said they could access their accounts but saw a balance of$0, others complained that their account balances were not shown on the app.

One user posted on Downdetector, saying, “App not working and online banking shows yesterday’s balance.” Another user stated, “We are still unable to access BoA fully through either the app or the browser.” can currently view a portion of our accounts, but not all of them. Additionally, not all accounts can use the transfer between accounts function.” Later on Wednesday, a representative from Bank of America informed USA TODAY that “these issues are being addressed and have largely been resolved.”
